Phil Johnson is Artistic Director/ Founder of The Roustabouts Theatre Co., directing Looped, Hand to God, Savoyard Murders, and readings of Falsettos, The Little Foxes, 12 Angry Men, Doubt, & others. He started the
Great Jewish American Playwright Series - JPlays at the JCC. He’s acted at most San Diego theatres and numerous original solo shows including
A Jewish Joke
Off-Broadway in NYC 2019. As an actor, he’s played in
Les Misérables on Broadway and tour; Canadian production of
Sunset Boulevard; and the 1st National Company of
Miss Saigon. A two-time winner of the SD Critics Circle Craig Noel Award for acting, and a founder of the San Diego Theatre Alliance.
Co-Director & Choreographer
Becky Cherlin Baird is the founding Artistic Director of The JCompany Youth Theater in La Jolla California and owner of Kids On Stage Productions. She is known as a pioneer of children’s theater in San Diego and continues to produce, direct, choreograph across the country. Currently, Becky is the Local 764 Guardian for Annie at Madison Square Garden, and she is producing three new musicals. Most recent youth productions have included
Peter Pan, Frozen, The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, High School Musical
and the original
Hanukkah Zoom adventure,
The Temple & The Secret Code which she co-wrote during the pandemic. Becky's love for working with kids in the performing arts has allowed her the opportunity to work as the children’s casting director and choir director with the Broadway First National Tour of
Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat as well as Food Network on Chopped Junior and taken her to theatres on Broadway including
The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof
and
Matilda. Becky has spent many years on the Board of Directors for San Diego Junior Theatre and San Diego Musical Theatre. Currently, she is on the Board of Directors for the Carlsbad Playwrights Association.

Musical Director
Sarah Alida LeClair is an actress, singer and performing arts educator. She holds a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from San Diego State University and from the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute of Shenandoah Conservatory. Sarah has been on stage for New Village Arts, Moxie Theatre, San Diego Rep, San Diego Opera and San Diego City Opera as well as stages all over San Diego and Central Coast California; Helen (Fun Home), Morticia (Addams Family), Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing), Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Amneris (Aida), Dido (Dido and Aeneas), The Witch (Into the Woods). Sarah is the artistic director at Riot Productions Inc intersectional womxn's theatre.
